Sorry I haven't updated in a long while. There's no other excuse than I finally got The Sims 2. Anybody who's been addicted to it will probably understand...
Anyway, I decided to just make a quick post about the younger H!P members that I currently find the sparkliest, most inspiring, or just... Members that I want to see more of in the future the most. They are not in any particular order.
When I listen to C-ute I tend to forget about her existence, since she barely gets any lines. But every time I watch a video (most often it's some DVD magazine) where C-ute does fun stuff, her personality stands out to me the most! The girl is just plain weird and crazy, but very very cute and hilarious because of it. She makes me smile. It's such a shame that she is so unpopular compared to other members in C-ute, most likely just because she joined later than the others. With the short hair she tends to remind me of Sayaka Ichii (Momusu 2nd gen member), too, which isn't a bad thing at all.
Koharu Kusumi from Morning Musume
I've always been supportive of Koharu, but you could say that recently I've become a fan. I really do think she has a special kind of aura, something 'miraculous' about her. She makes me happy with her endless energy, adorable goofiness and... Well, her happiness. I don't think there are many people like Koharu in this world. She seems to live in a happy pink lala land, and I'm a bit jealous of that.
Linlin from Morning Musume
Well, just recently there hasn't been a lot of new Linlin material for me to watch and listen (I don't watch HM@), so I'll just include Linlin here because I still think she has potential to become one of my favourite members. I just want to see a Morning Musume concert with her already!
I've always liked her cool stage presence and voice, but I seem to like her much more now than before. I don't know how many of you can relate to the feeling of just suddenly seeing someone in a completely different light, but that's what I suppose has happened to me in this case. I also think she looks absolutely pretty these days (not that she didn't before, but she seems to be really blooming). So now that I have this new interest in her, I can't wait to see more of her.
Momoko Tsugunaga from Berryz Koubou
No surprises here, Momo has been my favourite Berry for a while now. What I seem to be paying the most attention to in her these days is her dancing and her way of moving in general, because it's just so damn different from the others. So princess-y and unique. It's really funny how she stands out from others because of the way she moves. But at the same time I think she is one of the best dancers among the 'kids'.
That's it - maybe I will write about Eggs this weekend, too... We'll see.
I haven't actually had a real favourite Morning Musume member in ages. You know, the kind of member you want to see as much as possible and get to know as well as possible. Because I haven't had an instant, huge favourite member in Momusu (Nacchi had just graduated when I got into Hello!Project and all), I've always looked forward to auditions, hoping they'd choose someone I could support from the very beginning. But the girls they chose, Koharu and Aika, weren't going to be my favourites, even if I do like them both.
So, there I was, juggling eggs and wondering about who the mysterious Ponytail-chan was, when ALONG CAME CHINA!!!
I don't find it a problem that her Japanese isn't fluent yet. I think she's very natural talking to camera, a beauty and a girl who just won't stop smiling...
I can't wait to see the next Momusu single with the new members, but especially Linlin. We haven't even heard her sing yet, or seen her dance... I can't say that she's my favourite member because she hasn't done a lot so far, but let's just say she has a lot of potential and I look forward to her future projects.
